The Union Museum of History and Art hosted a special crappie fishing seminar at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21, featuring crappie pro and publisher of the “Crappie Now” and “Catfish Now” magazines, Dan Dannenmueller of Wetumpka, Alabama.  Dan was joined by his wife and “Crappie Mate”, Sue.
Dan shared some of his best crappie catching tips for Lake D’Arbonne, with a special emphasis on covering some basics for young and beginning crappie anglers.
That same week, the Dannenmueller “Crappie Mates” fished in the Crappie Masters National Championship on Lake D’Arbonne, where they have participated in numerous pro tournaments over the past five years. Dan and Sue finished in 20th place in the Angler of the Year race in 2021 out of more than 250 teams that fished on the circuit.
The museum was pleased to offer this seminar in conjunction with the grand opening of its ‘Hook, Line & Sinker’ exhibit which will run through October 29   We want to thank Dan and Sue for coming here and also thank Kinny Haddox, publisher of the lakedarbonnelife.com website, for setting up this seminar.
